The Institute of Art and Ideas (IAI) was founded by Hilary Lawson in 2008.

As an organisation, the IAI seeks to challenge the idea that present accepted wisdom is the truth by uncovering flaws and limitations in search of alternative, better ways to hold and understand the world.

By rescuing philosophy from technical debates and returning it to big ideas through its video and audio content, and biannual festival (HowTheLightGetsIn), the IAI allows philosophy to become an essential and accessible part of our everyday lives.
